The US Presidential Elections and The Law of Attraction

By Carol-King

For many months now the world has been listening and watching with increasing interest the unfolding events, some good and some bad surrounding the campaigns of the US presidential election candidates Barack Obama and John McCain.

It has been an emotionally charged time and debates are raging everywhere over who is ahead in the race, what each candidate stands for, what the general publics views are and so on. It is a time when the people of the US have to ask themselves some very serious soul searching questions and these questions are causing quite a stir to say the least.

For someone like me that does not live in the US and therefore does not have an emotionally strong opinion on the whole matter, I am able to watch this historic race through unbiased eyes. Although there are many issues that come to mind when I think of the two candidates, there is one thing that is vitally important and could possibly affect the whole outcome of the race and that is...the human mind.

As I mentioned before this an extremely emotional time for many US citizens, for the first time in the history of elections it is possible that a black man may entire the white house without any intention of fixing the plumbing or rewiring the oval office. This is something that has a few people uncomfortable to say the least. But if you are someone who wants Barack Obama to win then you must put aside your feelings about John McCain and likewise if you are hailing for John McCain you must forget the negative feelings you have for Barack Obama.

Why?

Because we live in a feeling universe, all that "happens" in this universe does so because we create it with our feelings. Look at it this way; since the campaigning began have you at any point said to yourself or someone else "I really don't want...to win"? Have you had discussions with your friends, family and coworkers about how much you "really don't want...to win"? I am sure that you have. In which case I would like to offer you a reminder: - You Are Increasing The Chances of The Person You Don't Want To Win by Repeatedly Saying "I Don't Want...To Win."

What You Feel About Comes About

If enough people keep repeating the same statement about the same candidate then guess what will happen? The person they don't want to win will win. How do I know this? I know because it is universal law. The law of attraction does not stop working during US elections. The law of attraction does not say ‘ok there's elections going on in America so its time for a vacation, I'll be back after a winner has been announced.' No, the law of attraction operates 24/7/365. It does not stop for holidays and Christmas.

Like attracts like, thoughts become things and anything you feel about comes about, period. Fighting against the candidate you oppose only makes his changes better. What ever you fight against increases because you are projecting a great deal of prolonged negative energy towards it. The universe the picks up on that vibration and gives you more of what you are emitting.

It is possible that you do not believe that the vibrational power of the human mind can alter the course of something like an election; if this is the case I strongly suggest you go and read this article entitled Peace Intention, you might just change your mind.

But if you do understand the power of the mind then is suggest that instead of transmitting dislike, distaste, anger or frustration towards the candidate you oppose, try emitting feeling of support, love, joy and abundance towards the candidate you want to win. Not only will this help the candidate but it will also bring more of the same into your own life and I am sure that you could use some more love and happiness in your life.

So do Barack Obama a favor, if that is whom you are rooting for. Forget John McCain, forget Sarah Palin, and spend the few remaining days focusing your energy on all the reasons why you want him to win. Talk about how great he is, talk about all of the amazing things he could do if he were in power, talk to your friends, family, colleagues and encourage them to focus on being pro-Obama, not anti-McCain.

If you can get enough people positively supporting the candidate you want to win, if you can drum up enough pro supporters all emitting positive emotions about the candidate of your choice, the law of attraction must do as it always does and say...

Your Wish Is My Command.

Fantastic job! I thought I was going to enjoy this hub when I saw the title and I was right! Thank you for this straightforward wisdom and important advice. I started writing a hub a few days ago, that was going to be called "The Titanic" and focus on the McCain campaign, and a few paragraphs in, I realized that it would be an exercise in futility, and I would much rather invest my energy in a hub about Obama (which I plan to write this weekend). One of my favorite lines was about a black man entering the White House with no intention of fixing the plumbing - HA! Thanks again for a great hub and very practical advice.

Carol - What a great article and perspective. Even though I believe in and always try to follow the Law of Attraction, I keep forgetting about this crucial angle. Thanks, Shirl

Carole I sincerely hope a lot of people read this post. And, remembered that what we think about and give most of our attention to is what we must receive.

As Shirl said; It is crucial in our creating. An angle that a lot of Americans want to remember today.

Thanks for another great post.

Shirl - thanks for stopping by, I know how easy it is to slip on certain aspects of the law of attraction so when ever I get a reminder I like to pass it on.

McKay - as always, your comments, support and wisdom is most welcome and greatly appreciated
