How to Use the Law of Attraction to Loose Weight

Loosing weight is often referred to as something that is extremely difficult and can only be achieved with the use of some fancy weight loss program or using latest exercise machine. Day after day the fitness industry bombards the world with its lotions, potions, pill and programs, and day-by-day thousands of people rush out to spend their hard earned money on the latest ‘fad’ believing that they will finally receive the cure only to be disappointed once more. What these unsuspecting consumers do no understand is that there is a much simpler way to reach your perfect weight and that is with the intentional use of the law of attraction. These tips outlined below can help you to get off the weight-loss cycle of trial and error once and for all.

Tip #1

Start by speaking kindly to yourself. Often when a person wants to loose weight they are constantly telling themselves that they need to loose weight. They criticize their body and tell themselves how awful they look. This practice does only one thing; it creates more of the same. If you can focus on the great things about yourself you will begin to attract more and more good feelings and this in turn will attract positive actions and results.

Tip #2

Start a journal, make a commitment to reducing your weight, write down what your weight-loss goal is. Be specific, write what your perfect weight is and what you will do when and how you will live when you reach your perfect weight. Then read your statement often and add too, make it part of your day.

Tip #3

Write some positive affirmations and post them around your home or office to help remind you that you have set an intention to reach your ideal weight, this will help you to focus on the positive.

Tip #4

Take action to support your request, you have stated your intention to reach your ideal weight but you must also take positive action that supports your request. Start an exercise routine; before you panic about having to join a gym, remember that exercise can come in many different forms. Try getting off the elevator one floor down and walk up the last flight. Get off the train or bus one stop early and walk the rest of the way to work. By an exercise DVD and work out at home. Remember that exercise does not and should not be something to be endured.

Look at your exercise as an activity you enjoy taking part in. Make sure it is something that is fun and you like doing, if it is not enjoyable you will not continue, so be sure to choose your activity wisely, perhaps even experiment with a few things you have not done before to discover something new.

Tip #5

Be patient with yourself. Just because you have made a commitment to reach your ideal weight that does not mean that you are going to wake up the next morning at your perfect weight. If this process is new to you it will take some time, as you will be gradually changing your belief system. Also be sure you want to reduce your weight for the right reasons. Do not do it because others are pestering you to loose weight, you will surely go back to your old ways if that it is the case. Do it for you!

Really valuable tips, Carol. Thanks. Reading your hub a story came to mind:

A man attended a psychiatrist, because he wanted to quit smoking, but didn't know how to do it. He bought one pack every day in a shop near his apartment and used it up by the end of that day. The psychiatrist, called Milton Ericsson, wanted to know why he had to smoke so much, so the man explained that he smoked because he had a very stressful life. Ericsson said that he believed it was because the man bought his cigarette in the wrong shop and asked him if he could buy the thing in another shop that's about a twenty-minute walk from his apartmend. He also asked the man to go on foot. The man didn't understand but did so. The next day, by the end of that twenty-minute walk when he reached the new shop, he realized he didn't need the cigarettes, because the tension disappeared from his body. After that day he did not smoke again, but went for a stroll.
